Bill had a telephone guest on this morning from a group that's organizing to force a recall of Wisconsin Governor Jim Doyle. The guest, Vince Schmucke (sp?) presented a very well-spoken and informed case for a recall, citing the "craziness" of Doyle's leadership, saying that he's "out of control.....spending like a drunken sailor" and has made "Taxconsin" into a "tax hell" for business. Vince said Governor Doyle is in the back pocket of the special interests. He said the group is not aligned with the Republican Party, but is made up primarily of conservatives. He was also well-informed on the recall process and outlined the progression of events that must happen; also what the possible scenarios might be should the recall be successful. The conversation sparked a number of phone calls, especially the topic of teacher's salary increases. Bill had planned to have Schmucke on for just half of the first hour, but the topic sparked such a response that the interview lasted the entire first hour.

The group is seeking 10,000 volunteers and believes the recall will be successful if that goal is met.
