I don't like this trend of renaming well-known assets after whoever can pay for it. It seems WHBY has jumped on this idea, thinking perhaps of generating some revenue in a slow economy. Lately I've heard references to the WHBY studio called by the name of a sponsor, let's say for example, "The Bill Sebastian Show coming to you live from the Spotted Cow Insurance Partners Studio."
I think this is pretty stupid. It's like selling, or maybe renting, your identity. Selling your birthright for a buck. The first time I heard it I thought the Bill Sebastian Show was doing a remote. Hey, WHBY, in case you haven't noticed, when Monster Cable's lease to Candlestick Park's name expired in 2008, it wasn't renewed. It's back to Candlestick Park. Let's get back to "WHBY Studios" and leave it that way.
My opinion........
